This book ends sweet. The journey grueled. So many mishaps! Jean-Luc and his family ought to be commended for receiving Samantha with open hearts after so long a time. His kids had lived through a glacial stepmother and the passing of their mother but they warmed up to Samantha quickly.I am pleased I read this memoir.
